"Owning your story is the bravest thing you'll ever do"
I like words of affection, good soulful conversation, and delicious iced coffees. I love quiet mornings and loud late nights. Giggles and laughs filling our home is the absolute sweetest sound, it signals lives being well lived. Going to church on Sunday either ends our weekend right or starts our new week right, either way it just always feels right. My most favorite smell is the scent of a campfire in the woods. And my favorite place to be is with my people, wherever they are. I'm just a girl trying to live more intentional with the things I have been given.
We are the keepsake holders of our own stories. We owe it to ourselves and our children to own our stories, to preserve them, to document the days, and the moments that flee us faster than we wish.
These are my people. They are the reason I can serve you better -- because I know what it's like to be on the other side of the camera. I love them with a fierce love and am so grateful I get to be a wife and mom. Before my work as an artist, they are my favorite thing.
Truth is that I'd choose a lake in the mountains over the saltwater any day but we live two miles from the ocean so we'll love it while we got it! Pro-tip: go to the beach at sunset -- it's deserted, gorgeous, a great place to eat dinner, and the sand doesn't burn your feet. Some of my favorite nights are at the beach with my babies.
My sweet miracle, our first born and biggest girl not only made me a mama but showed me the desperation to quite literally freeze time. I had been a wedding photographer before she was born but after stepping into the roll of motherhood, I felt fully alive documenting mamas and their journeys.
